The Mayor and City Council has authorized the City to provide up to 50 small businesses located in the city limits with $5,000 in business assistance awards using funds the City received as part of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, known as ARPA. This program is limited to small businesses, only with a maximum of 25 full-time employees.

Rural Jump-Start Program
Rural Jump-Start Program
The Rural Jump-Start Program is a collaborative effort by the state, local governments, Institutes of Higher Education (IHE), and economic development organizations (EDO) to incentivize new businesses to start in or move to rural, economically distressed counties in Colorado, which are referred to as Rural Jump-Start zones, and hire new employees. The Rural Jump-Start Program will accept applications for the tax benefits through December 31, 2025 and for the grant benefits through June 30, 2024.

Neighborworks Southern Colorado Emergency Small Business Loan Fund COVID-19
The Small Business Emergency Microloan Program now provides financing needed to strengthen small business enterprises in this time of acute need that have been affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. They offer loans from $1,000 to $20,000.

City of Northglenn
City of Northglenn Business Utility Assistance Grant
This program is available to new or existing businesses in the Northglenn Urban Renewal Authority area. Its purpose is to provide assistance with upgrades necessary related to water, wastewater and storm water system upgrade costs. The property owner is allowed to receive reimbursement for up to 50 percent of the cost of the improvement with a maximum reimbursement of $15,000 or $16,500 if a Northglenn contractor is used for the improvements.

Northwest Loan Fund
The Northwest Loan Fund (NLF) offer loans to new or growing business within the service area of Northwest Colorado that is creating jobs or providing positive economic impact for the local economy. The NLF is often able to take greater risks than conventional banks because the program exists to help with local economic development, so it is able to welcome new and expanding businesses that may not yet qualify for traditional bank financing for various reasons.
